Our mission at Civil Communications & Conversations is to change the culture within the various levels of controversy. We are champions for equitable space. Through a commitment to integrity, impartiality, and civility, we strive to enable, encourage, and facilitate constructive dialogue and sustainable resolutions.

Vision

Controversy is inevitable. Therefore, our vision extends beyond conflict resolution. We aspire to set a standard within Civil Communications & Conversations by introducing and then establishing a methodology to approach controversy holistically. The goal is to teach a way of handling disagreements – thoughtfully. When we are aware and strive for civility, a productive communication environment emerges. Let this be the overall goal within our society – ideally, for generations to come.


There are several ways to utilize our services.

Consulting / Coaching

1:1, group, team, and organizational services are available to assist in assessing and implementing a healthy culture of communication through Conflict Prevention, Conflict Management, and Conflict Resolution.

Mediation

does not require the involvement of an attorney and offers an opportunity for each party to have a direct voice in negotiating every aspect of a resolution and settlement agreement.

Mediation fees are a simple fixed rate based on $300 per hour, regardless of the nature or complexity.
One party may pay this rate in full, or, it may be divided between the parties.
* If there are more than two parties, the additional parties will each pay a fee of $150 per hour.
IMPORTANT: No mediation schedule is confirmed until fees are paid in full.

Cancellation Policy

  • Once a mediation is scheduled and paid, it is considered non-refundable.
  • Mediations rescheduled 15+ days in advance: funds above the $500 cancellation fee will be applied to the rescheduled day of service.
    • Every prudent effort will be made to accommodate schedules. Mediations are often scheduled a considerable time in advance, which may pose challenges with availability.
  • The cancellation fee applies to each party: the cancellation fee of $250 per party will be applied as received
  • Additional fees may apply for any experts scheduled to attend and support the effort – based on their individual cancellation policies. (ex: Financial Experts, Doctors, Counselors etc.)

Overtime Policy

Should the mediation extend past 8hrs on a full day or 3hrs on a partial day:
– Overtime options are based strictly on availability.
– If available, each party will be charged an hourly fee of $150. Please be prepared to provide payment at the mediation.
– Additional time may be scheduled if needed.
